System
Think carefully, then give only the final answer in the requested format.
User
An item costs $250.00. A 20% discount is applied, then a $15.00 coupon is subtracted, and finally 8% sales tax is added to the resulting amount. What is the final price? Reply with only the amount in dollars to two decimal places, for example 12.34, with no currency symbol.
Rubric for the judge: The single correct answer 199.80 (250 x 0.8 = 200; 200 - 15 = 185; 185 x 1.08).
Every cell is one OpenRouter call at temperature 0 with the prompt's token cap and reasoning effort "low" where the model supports it. Cost is usage × the catalogue rate in models.json. Quality is one judge call to anthropic/claude-haiku-4.5 against the prompt's rubric, cached per prompt version.

## Step 1: Calculate the price after the 20% discount
First, we need to find 20% of $250.00. 20% of $250.00 is 0.20 * $250.00 = $50.00. So, the price after the discount is $250.00 - $50.00 = $200.00.
## Step 2: Apply the $15.00 coupon
After the discount, the price is $200.00. Subtracting the $15.00 coupon gives $200.00 - $15.00 = $185.00.
## Step 3: Calculate the sales tax
The price after the coupon is $185.00. Now, we need to calculate 8% sales tax on $185.00. 8% of $185.00 is 0.08 * $185.00 = $14.80.
## Step 4: Add the sales tax to the price
Finally, we add the sales tax to the price after the coupon. So, $185.00 + $14.80 = $199.80.
The final answer is: $\boxed{199.80}$Judge: The calculation is correct (199.80), but the output includes excessive step-by-step commentary and formatting when the task explicitly requested only the amount with no currency symbol or extra explanation.

Let's calculate the final price step by step. 1. The item costs $250.00. A 20% discount is applied: $250.00 * 0.20 = $50.00 $250.00 - $50.00 = $200.00 2. A $15.00 coupon is subtracted: $200.00 - $15.00 = $185.00 3. Finally, 8% sales tax is added: $185.00 * 0.08 = $14.80 $185.00 + $14.80 = $199.80 199.80
Judge: The output correctly calculates all three steps and provides the exact answer 199.80 as required, though it includes working shown before the final answer.
Reasoning: The single correct answer 199.80 (250 x 0.8 = 200; 200 - 15 = 185; 185 x 1.08). The deterministic checks are exact.
If the judge's bar of 8/10 is good enough for you, Llama 4 Scout at $0.05 per 1,000 runs. If you need the top score, Llama 4 Scout at $0.05 per 1,000 runs.
