How long should I give a new plan before deciding?

One real week doing your actual job, then a four-week review. A day is too short to notice caps; three months is long enough to forget you are paying.

Is a $200 plan ever the right first subscription?

Almost never as a first purchase. The $200 tiers buy far higher caps and the heaviest models for people who already know they exhaust a $20 plan daily. Start at $20 and let a real cap, not a feeling, push you up.

What if I chose wrong?

It cost $20 and taught you what you actually use. Run lesson 4's checklist, switch to the runner-up, and update the dated sentence. Choosing wrong once is normal; paying for the wrong plan for a year is the thing to avoid.
